Here's a shot of one of a bunch of signs we donated to the stafford twp volunteer fire co station 47 for their triple housing today. Logan and I enjoyed the parade past the office at noon....loads and loads of emergency vehicles passed in front of the shop...many proudly sporting lettering and striping by typestries sign & design. We're greatful for the support of the many squads and departments we've lettered vehicles for and we're equally glad to give in return.

Just send me your mailing address via e-mail and I'll send one off to the first 100 people that request it,

White vinyl decal with black printing, die cut to shape, outdoor durable, measuring 2" x 6"

And Thanks to bill Nguyen for keeping WOXY alive!

Mobil advertising does not always have to be applied to a new vehicle to be effective. Here's an older van that came in looking pretty rough. It had been lettered in the past by an unknown sign maker that had unfortunately use some really poor quality vinyl. Subsequently all of the lettering was faded, peeling and cracking. Pretty typical of the use of short term vinyl on a vehicle. While it has it's uses, the cheaper grades of short term vinyl are truly not for vehicle use and are not used on vehicles that we produce. We were able to remove all of the horrible old lettering and get this nice, clean design applied in just under a day. Although the customer was on a tight budget, they came in with a totally useless vehicle with respect to promotion and left with a powerful vehicle advertising tool. If you've got an older vehicle that's still working for your business, consider making it work a bit harder as an advertising tool as well.

the Atlantic City press has a great article on the effectiveness of on premise roadside signs. Specifically the use of changeable message readerboards (which we make a lot of......and use ourselves).

One local business owner noted: “My actual thinking,” Williams says, “was more people would look at that than the Williams Appliance sign. But eventually their eyes would go up to Williams Appliance. It's kind of now evolved into a responsibility.” Everyone expects him to keep his messages fresh.

If you want a life size stand up of someone we can do that! Send us the picture to scan, or a digital file of your person, and we'll print it out full size and put a stand on the back so it supports itself. Great for store displays, lobbies, photo opportunities and trade shows. A unique and effective way to convey your message....and for us, a whole lot of fun to make!

It's amazing what you can do to increase the impact of *any* sign. Subtle treatments can make any sign more effective in its environment. The first person to correctly identify this sign wins a $50.00 sign gift certificate for any of our products. Email your guesses to me at rick@typestries.com

Hey does this typepad palm app work?

Here's a shot of a simple yet effective use of dimension and digital graphics. This identification sign is for the Monmouth University Student Government Association, (SGA) . The sign is mounted to the block wall with blind screws, silicone and 3M VHB tape, which is truly overkill for most settings, but perhaps not for a setting that sees as much traffic as this sign will. Although it's light, at only five pounds, I wanted to make sure it was up there for good. If they ever paint they wall the painters will be in for a surprise! We crafted the sign from 3/4" and 1" gatorfoam with digitally printed face graphics. It's a little tough to see in the shot, but there are two layers of graphics, which makes for a nice finished look. Add some dimension to your next project!
